Providing this website

When you access this website, technically necessary connection data is processed, including your IP address, the time of access, the requested page and information about your browser. This enables the website to be delivered and operated securely.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details of the final hosting provider, server logs, their retention periods and possible transfers abroad will be added before publication.

Contact by email

The contact links open your email app. Your details are only sent to me when you send a message from that app. I use them to answer your enquiry or prepare a contract (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).

This website has no contact form and does not store enquiries. Details of the email service provider and retention periods will be added before publication.

Your language choice is stored in the acker-language cookie for up to one year. It contains only de or en and is used to display the website in your chosen language.

I store your choice under the name acker-cookie-consent in your browser’s local storage. The entry contains your preferences, the consent version, and the times at which it was saved and will expire. It contains no random user identifier and is not sent to a server by this website.

Your choice remains valid for up to 180 days. Expired entries are removed on your next visit. I ask again after expiry or if the services requiring consent change. Your requested preferences are stored under Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; the associated data processing serves to manage your privacy settings (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Rejecting analytics is as easy as accepting it. Withdrawal applies to future processing. I then disable Google Analytics and remove the Google Analytics cookies accessible to my website. Reloading the page fully stops any analytics already running. Data already transmitted is not automatically deleted by Google as a result.

Map and directions

The directions page initially displays a locally stored map image. This does not establish a connection to OpenStreetMap. Selecting ‘Load interactive map’ requests the external map; OpenStreetMap then receives data including your IP address and technical browser information.

Permission is given separately at the map itself. ‘Close map’ removes the embedded map. This choice is not stored permanently and is independent of your analytics preferences. The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation; information about processing and storage locations is available in the OpenStreetMap Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics

Currently inactive. Google Analytics is prepared for possible future use. The service is not currently loaded, and no analytics data is sent to Google.

When enabled, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Without consent, no connection to the analytics service is established.

After consent, data processed may include pages visited, visit times, browser and device information, and the IP address needed for the connection. Google may also process data in the USA. My integration does not use advertising personalisation or Google Signals. Page views I send contain no URL query parameters or fragments.

The analytics cookies _ga and _ga_… are set for a maximum of 180 days. Google’s data retention is separate from this. The specific retention period, processing agreement and legal basis for international transfers must be documented before activation.
