Thomas Acker, who trained as a master bow maker in Bubenreuth, approaches his work with great sensitivity, intuition and skill. This begins with selecting and getting to know the wood, continues through working the material, and extends to an instinctive understanding of which bow suits which musician. The standard dimensions taught in training may occasionally be adjusted a little, and customers’ individual wishes and needs are gladly accommodated.
Indeed, Thomas Acker, who has been making and repairing bows for twenty years, shows a clear interest in the new and the individual. His bows therefore possess not only precision craftsmanship, but personality and style.
